Step into The Blue Hour, a curated night of short films produced by Tanicia Pratt & Nate ‘NXTETG’ McPhee. Celebrating four years of Pratt’s poetry collection, each film reflects a deeper meaning of what it’s like to live beneath the weight of all this sun, sand and blue. Both filmmakers offer distinct styles of storytelling that capture the essence of a color that has evoked so many emotions, alluring poets, artists, and thinkers for centuries.

    Following the screenings of Visa Blue and Bluesions, the filmmakers will sit with visual artist & filmmaker, Reagan M. Kemp, for a conversation about their work, the poetics of the blues, and their significance in today's political landscape.

  • Visa Blue, NXTETG: In the sun-baked suburbs of The Bahamas, 17-year-old JR finds solace in the back of his father’s pickup truck, staring at the sky and wrestling with the uncertainty of a childhood dream. Caught between a looming deadline and a staunch father whose ideals are as steadfast as the truck he guards, JR must navigate a world where opportunities for freedom are swiftly fading.
